Reminder - MARC Penn Line - Preparations for todays severe weather
Due to the forecasted severe weather this afternoon and evening, the following early afternoon trains will operate with additional capacity for passengers who chose to leave work early: --Train 520 (12:15pm departure from Union Station) --Train 422 (now the 1:05pm departure from Union Station with the schedule change that takes effect today) --Train 424 (2:15pm departure from Union Station) Severe weather can result in multiple types of warnings and speed restrictions that Amtrak may deem necessary to issue. With all warnings, (Flash Flood, Wind, etc.) comes speed restrictions and delays of 20-25 minutes are common. These restrictions are issued to ensure you have a safe ride to your destination. Downed trees are also a possibility, which will result in lengthier delays and possibly temporary suspension of service. We will provide updates as needed to keep you informed and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding with any delays that result.

Due to the forecasted severe weather this afternoon, MARC Brunswick Line service will be modified as follows today: --Train 871 (normally the Friday-only 1:30pm departure from Union Station) WILL operate. Frederick Transit will provide bus service from Point of Rocks to Frederick --Train 877 (4:55pm departure from Union Station) will be cancelled in order to operate Train 871 Severe weather can result in multiple types of warnings and speed restrictions that CSX may deem necessary to issue. With all warnings, (Flash Flood, Wind, etc.) comes speed restrictions and delays of 20-25 minutes are common. These restrictions are issued to ensure you have a safe ride to your destination. Due to the forecasted severe weather this afternoon, MTA Commuter Bus will operate the Full Service-Holiday Schedule (Early out) on Monday, March 16, 2026.
