MARC Train - Thanksgiving week service summary and 2024 Toys For Tots
MARC Train will operate on the following schedule before and after the Thanksgiving Holidays: Wednesday, November 27 — Full service on all three lines with the following modifications and additions to service: Penn Line: --Starting with Train 520 (12:15pm departure from Union Station), trains will operate with more railcars than usual --Train 634 (4:50pm departure from Union Station) will add a stop at BWI Rail Station Brunswick Line: --Train 871 (normally the Friday-only 1:30 pm departure) will operate Camden Line: --Train 848 (3:30pm departure from Union Station) will extend service to Camden Yards --Train 855 (4:45pm departure from Dorsey) will not operate Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving Day) – No MARC Train service Friday, November 29 – Saturday schedule on the Penn Line only, no service on the Camden or Brunswick Lines. Saturday and Sunday, November 30 and December 1 - Regularly-scheduled weekend Penn Line service. Start Shopping Now for Toys For Tots!! Finally, as you are braving Black Friday shopping or clicking your mouse on Cyber Monday, please remember the United States Marine Corps annual Toys for Tots drive! This year's collection will take place on December 4 and 5, at Washington Union Station from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Passengers are asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy for children in need. Cash and check donations will also be accepted on site. You may also visit the Toys for Tots Virtual Toybox, at www.toysfortots.org to donate. Light Rail Service Advisory - Planned Track Work
Beginning on Saturday, November 23, at 5:00 a.m., Light Rail will continue work on a planned track replacement project. All Light Rail stops between North Ave and Falls Road, including Woodberry, Cold Spring Lane and Mt Washington will be CLOSED through Monday, November 25, at 5:00 a.m. Free shuttle bus service will be in place to transport riders between the affected stops. Riders should allow for extra travel time between these stops. During the stop closure, real-time shuttle information will be available. We appreciate your patience as we work to keep our system in a state of good repair. MTA reminds riders that transit fare vending machines are cash only. To purchase fares with a credit or debit card, MTA encourages riders to download the free CharmPass mobile fare app at mta.maryland.gov/charmpass. Metro Subway Service Advisory - Single Tracking
Due to scheduled track work, Metro Subway trains will be single tracking between Rogers Ave and State Center on Thursday and Friday, November 21 and 22, 8:00 pm to 4:00 am and on Saturday November 23 between Rogers Ave and State Center, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and between Owings Mills and Rogers Ave 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
