MARC Train - Face covering requirements are still in effect
To reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to protect our customers and team members, all riders using public transit including MARC Train, MTA local bus, light rail, metro subway, commuter bus, and Mobility/para-transit service are REQUIRED to wear face coverings. Riders must keep the face covering on for the entire duration of the trip. The face covering requirement applies for all passengers, vaccinated or unvaccinated. This action supports Governor Hogan's Executive Order number 21-04-21-01 and the Transportation Security Administration's Emergency Amendment number 1546-21-01A, which is currently effective until September 13, 2021. MARC Penn Line - Monday night service suspended due to severe weather
Due to the severe weather this evening, there are several downed trees and also a utility pole down across the Penn Line tracks. Amtrak estimates that it will take 3-4 hours to clear the tracks and restore service. Train 453 has returned to Penn Station and is cancelled. The next departure to Washington will be Train 403 tomorrow morning, departing Penn Station at 4:45am. Passengers from Train 453 will be permitted to wait in Penn Station overnight to ride Train 403 in the morning. Train 452 from Washington tonight is cancelled. Passengers for New Carrollton, Odenton, BWI Airport, and Penn Station will be accommodated on Amtrak trains when the railroad re-opens, which is currently estimated for 3:00 to 4:00am. Passengers for West Baltimore should ride the Amtrak train to Penn Station and passengers for Halethorpe should ride to BWI Airport. The Amtrak train will stop at Odenton. Please follow the direction of the Amtrak and MARC customer service representatives at Union Station for updated information regarding this Delays to tomorrow morning's service are likely due the weather damage tonight.
